Sexual Assault & Rape Crisis Program
24 hour crisis response includes victim advocacy and support including law enforcement and medical facilities.
Individual and group counseling for rape and sexual assault victims and their families.
School presentations on dating violence and rape prevention.
Domestic Violence/Crisis Intervention
Crisis intervention is available 24 hours a day and encompasses counseling, danger assessment and the development of safetey plans, court advocacy including filing of protective order and criminal warrants, court process information and accompaniment.
• Emergency Shelter is available for domestic and sexual violence victims and sometimes homeless women and children.

Sexual Assault Support Group:
Support groups address issues dealing with domestic violence and sexual assault.

Individual counseling is available for those who are processing and healing from domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
An appointment with the Licensed Clinical Social Worker can be scheduled.
Children’s Services offer several different programs to children entering the shelter, as well as children in the community.
Individual Therapy: Provided to children who have been victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse or assault, emotional abuse, or witnesses of domestic violence.
Childcare Supervision: Childcare is provided to mothers during all Wesley Shelter regular scheduled classes. It is also provided during court dates and any appointments that the mothers may have which are not appropriate for children to attend.
Court Advocates & Legal Services
Wesley Shelter provides court advocacy for clients involved in civil or criminal cases as a result of experiencing domestic violence or sexual assault. Trained Wesley Shelter Advocates can assist clients in a variety of ways.
Advocates can assist with paperwork for domestic violence protective orders and criminal charges. Also referrals to the appropriate resources such as the appropriate people in law enforcement, the District Attorney, a magistrate, clerk offices, and victim services and compensation can be made. These referrals can also be made at our main office.
While our Advocates cannot provide legal services, Wesley Shelter does have an attorney on staff that can assist with case preparation and representation in civil and criminal cases, when applicable.
