Wesley Shelter receives $25,000 Neighbor of Choice grant from
Rob Ferrell, Community Outreach Lead of Merck Wilson, presents the $25,000 Neighbor of Choice Grant to Lynne White, Wesley Shelter Executive Director. The grant will support a Nurse/Health Educator for Wesley Shelter, the domestic and sexual violence response agency in Wilson County. The Neighbor of Choice program's mission is "to strengthen the relationship between Merck and its local communities by supporting outstanding work by nonprofit organizations that strive to improve the quality of life of people in communities in which Merck resides and operates."
Domestic violence is an escalating pattern of abuse where one partner in an intimate relationship controls the other through force, intimidation, or the threat of violence.
