Peace Program: Held weekly for children in kindergarten through junior high school. This children's therapy group teaches non-violent techniques and increases children's self-esteem. The program is divided into two groups: the Junior Peace Program is K-5th grade, and the Senior Peace Program is 6th-8th grade. Parenting Class: Class held every 2nd and 4th Thursday for parents in the community and required for residents in the shelter. This class teaches parents how to develop basic qualities in their children that are necessary for thriving in our society: courage, responsibility, cooperation, and self-esteem. Individual Therapy: Provided to children who have been victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse or assault, emotional abuse, or witnesses of domestic violence. Teen Sexual Assault Support Group: This support group is for girls between the ages of 12 and 17 who have been sexually assaulted or abused and are currently in individual therapy. Terrific Tuesdays: This group meets weekly for shelter children only and is led by a Children's Services Volunteers who provide organized games, arts and crafts. Mother's Morning Out: This program is provided to mother's currently housed in either shelter. This program provides childcare for mothers so they can run errands or other appointments. Childcare Supervision: Childcare is provided to mothers during all Wesley Shelter regular scheduled classes. It is also provided during court dates and any appointments that the mothers may have which are not appropriate for children to attend. | 
Childrens Services 
The Children's Services Program was developed in July of 1996 in order to fulfill the needs of children who have been affected by domestic violence, homelessness, or physical, sexual, or emotional abuse.
