| Displaced Homemakers : | |  | Wesley Shelter is the location of Wilson County's Displaced Homemaker Program. Through The Women's Center for Life Management, the following services are available for any woman who qualifies: - Job Counseling Services
- Health Education and Counseling Services
- Financial Management Consulting
- Educational Services
| Do you qualify for Displaced Homemaker services? - Have you worked in your own home for at least five years?
- Have you provided unpaid household services in someone else's home for at least five years?
- Are you unable to secure gainful employment due to a lack of required skills?
- Have you been dependent on the income of another household member, but are no longer adequately supported by that income?
- Are you receiving support from a spouse, but within two years you will lose that support?
- Have you been receiving public assistance as the parent of minor children, but are no longer eligible for that support? Or will you lose that support within two years?
- Have you lost your main source of support due to death or divorce?
If you can answer yes to any of those questions, then no matter what your age, you qualify for services under North Carolina's Displaced Homemaker Program. |
